Books to Movies

Choke by Chuck Palahniuk (sp? whatevs) is being made into a movie with Sam Rockwell as the lead.

Not that I super remember the book, besides liking it in all of its perverseness (slash who am i kidding, i probably liked the perversity best of all, lol.) but sam rockwell does not strike me as the right actor for the part, but whatever.

cool book hopefully made into a cool movie!

Cool Concerts

So rumor mill says that Coachella has an East Coast version.

I am psyched about it.

Sort of a plus to a crappy day.

La Dee Dahh

My laptop broke and I waited three weeks to just have it come close to like the actual process of getting fixed and well… now they tell me that I spilled something on it which is an "accidental" and is not covered under my warranty. So its going to be like 1300$ just to get it fixed.

As if my life wasn't miserable enough at the moment. I am completely bummed about this. I have absolutely no idea what to do. Would it be a better choice to just buy a new laptop or get my laptop fixed? bleh.

Anyway, that show that has been on myspace a lot and is going to be made into a TV show… quarter life is actually super good. I am kind of hooked. I may watch the entire thing tonight. Although I did watch some of it yesterday.

And random musings on the game guitar hero which i do enjoy, however its really just hitting buttons while listening to a lovely soundtrack. well sometimes lovely.

Clowns Are Scary

so when i was younger (and embarrassingly enough, not that long ago) there was some stupid story about a clown while you were babysitting who sat behind you and was creepy and did something. i don't really remember it exactly, all i know is that the story freaked me out and i still kind of flash back to that dumb story.

not that i have a super fear of clowns, i have fears of far stranger things, but according to a new study not just babies are afraid of dumb clowns.

Scottie Liked All of the Books that I Recommended

But even if he didn't I wouldn't be offendeddd.

sooo… you can tell that I am super bored by virtue of the fact that i have had like 85 posts in the past two days after like two weeks of nothingness.

I don't love working, but gosh darnit… it was something to do.

Anyway, back to my now cliched new obsession with the Moldy Peaches.

They were on the Bryant Park Project which I also love. And they played Anyone Else But You live, which was loverly. Anddd they are going to be on the view next Tuesday!

woot woot!

My Guilty TV Pleasures

Today has apparently been all about my embarrassing guilty pleasures in tv starting kind of with Gossip Girls.

And while this post is just to talk about how much I love the View, because where else will you hear Sherri Shepherd talk about the world being flat and then ask Barbara Walters (or as I lovingly call her Baba Wawa) if she'd been in a three way or not.

But writing about this now… I realize that I have a number of other embarrassing shows that I watch…

I <3 New York-- wonderfully trashy. Sister Patterson… just wow.
Shot of Love With Tila Tequila-- the clip of Vanessa taking down Brandi was just… also, for lack of a better word. wow.
October Road-- I have no idea how this show is still on the air. it is horrible. although Bryan Greenberg or whatever the main character's name is--is super cute, it's just bad. and i don't get the whole eddie latecca thing. who is he trying to fool?

i am sure there are other shows… from my past… present… and future, but lordy I can't think of anymore.

juno jr.

Bummer, there is an error in the video I am trying to embed. So I guess I'll just have to link you.

Junificent Jr.

hey and check out a young christopher meloni towards the ends. weird.

also unrelated but now that i've had to watch this clip again, which while wasn't hilarious in the first place is even less so now, but anyways. one of my all time favorite lines ever at the moment is when JK Simmons muses that he thought Juno was the type of girl who knew when to say when and Juno tells him that she isn't really sure what type of girl she really is, because really… who does.

le sigh.

The Gossip Girl Guide to NY!

Well, I can't tell you why, but I really enjoy this dumb show Gossip Girl.

I tried to read the books and found them unbelievably annoying, but now the show comes on and I am addicted. Maybe, because when they say pretty on the page I did not imagine the characters to be quite as pretty as they appear on the screen.

Anyway, gridskipper put out The Gossip Girl Guide to NY. Which interestingly enough includes a lot of Brooklyn and Long Island City locations. (not just Manhattan)
